In the 17th century, it became popular and trendy. Till mid of 18th century, the cricket bat was like a hockey stick. Cricket grew into a modern game, and it has a history of its own. I t is played and watched all over the world and is loved by millions of people.  You also see that most schools, colleges, and universities include cricket as part of their physical education curriculum. Nearly every town has a team that plays in a local competition. Cricket is an exciting and interesting game. It also a fun, social game to play, that’s easy to learn and can be enjoyed by boys and girls from as young as 5 years old.  History : Cricket has a known history beginning at the end of the 16th century.  There have different suppositions about the game's origins that it was created in France or Flander.
